The Hut People

What an amazing gig. It is difficult to adequately describe the experience of seeing Gary and Sam perform. We were entertained with musical arrangements from Northern Brazil, Sweden, Iran and many more places as they pushed back the walls of the Old Court Room at The Manor House with their unique take on world music. Sam's versatility with the accordion was breath-taking in its own right but that was overlaid with his foot percussion and other varied talents. Gary's dexterity on everything percussion drawn from his years with many bands and musicians including The Beautiful South was mesmeric and surreal. They are surely as unique in the surroundings of the many festivals they grace but this was a unique night and to witness such a virtuoso performance in intimate surroundings was a privilege.
